Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Well, time to switch from hiking shorts to pants - 34F this morning. Sausage, scrambled eggs and hot coffee while watching the sun advance across the mountains. Perfect view!
Oh, the mountains of the Sierra Nevada Range! Driving up Tioga Pass, they shone like jagged silver cathedrals. Met a playful pine martin on my hike. Such fun!
I highly recommend the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. I took the trip in early July. If it’s within your budget, book the last car (parlor car) on the steam train. You’ll have private access the the rear viewing platform and it’s pretty cool to see the entire train stretched out ahead...
Traveling west - today Colorado, tomorrow Nevada.

Great testing and analysis!
I have a similar refrigerator, the F40C4TMP Portable 12v, but without the built in battery. It’s a single zone (fridge or freezer) and for the price, works reasonably well. I’ve noticed it’s great on AC power, but is always a few degrees warmer on the 12v DC power...
Thank you for breaking down the settings for us slow learners. I recently bought a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 for night landscapes and astrophotography. This will be a great guide to get me started!

I’m in Maryland, but would definitely drive over your way for a get together. I often hike in Shenandoah and GWNF when I’m not traveling. I’ll be gone September and part of October, but should be around most of the winter months.
It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.

Thanks for sharing your journey. Also...
I’ve done this several times. If you create a USPS account (also useful for paying your PO Box fees), you can set up the residential mail hold online. The maximum is 30 days.
My tactic is to do a 30 day hold and then have the mail delivered. A week or so before that hold expires, I set up a new...
