    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

I know, I'm just shooting everyone's ideas to pieces, but the issue with those is you are restricted to only the truck bed. I'm often the mule of the group, carrying firewood, spare tires, fuel, etc. for others. I need to be able to throw it on the ground if I have to.

    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

The issue with cot tents, and maybe I shouldn't say anything, but I've seen them heaved into the lake, hoisted into trees... It's all fun and games until someone duct tapes you into your tent.

    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

I keep going back to the Swag. At most I need two guyouts, and they are only front and back. This is an easy setup in truck or trailer. The other offerings so far require a lot more guyouts (bad) need to be pegged at the base (worse) and are too wide (worst)

    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

Thanks for that visual. Back to the drawing board. Actually I'm more concerned about inebriated campmates tripping over me. Hence the trailer (for shore sites/fire road sites)

    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

At this point, on trail runs where every nights' campsite is a different location, I'm sleeping in the driver's seat. This has *got* to be better. But I hate the arduous task of today's tents (even as easy as they've become) I swore I'd never go back...

Yeeaaah with the current conversion rate of $1.25 to £1 that puts their version at approximately $437.50 US Or is my math way off?

    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

That it is. A bit pricey, compared to others found across the 'net, but this is canvas as opposed to nylon, as the rest seem to be. Big fan of canvas.

    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

I actually listed it as a hybrid in my first sentence, but I get your point. True bivy sacks are nothing more than a human in a Ziploc lol

    Thoughts on bivy sacks?

Initially, one of my reasons for wanting such a small footprint was the fact that it fit in the bed of my truck or even on my utility trailer, so that gave me a 48" width limit. I even looked at your Eureka as a possibility, but it's 63" wide :-( I know it's weird thinking about a tent on a...
