    I've always tried to NOT attract attention. That comes from the old days of driving home from bars (musician) and other illegal activities in the 70's. Stealth. Doesn't fit the new normal, which is "look at me."

    The Patriot does not have a timing chain. So it's not that. How many miles? We swapped ours after 165,000. I was actually more concerned about the sealed transmission (6 speed) which was flawless the whole time.

    I lived in Lake Charles in the early 80's through the early 90's. Miss the food. Man I went down last year and Lake Charles looks bad. Big empty skyscraper with plywood windows. Hope they fix that.
