  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Build getting started!

Always like to see another WJ getting built. Not sure if they are available where you're at but there are a few companies here in the US that build some good DIY bumpers. I got the center section for one of the DIY bumpers from Trail Forged and then built my own outer wings. You can check out...

    The Tri-Cities Clubhouse

Doesn't sound like they'll get in until 7:30-8 tomorrow night and plan to roll out by 10 am Saturday so not sure yet. We're gearing up to start planting potatoes Monday and it depends how my day goes tomorrow and what I have to do Saturday. I can let you know tomorrow afternoon what I'm thinking.

US Northwest The North Idaho Meet Up is Heading South To Juniper Dunes-Palouse Falls- Rainbow Lake

There is a gas station located at thr start of the Pasco Kahlotus rd that usually has them, it's maybe 5 miles before the turn off to the dunes. For the people coming from the north it would be a short trip out of the way but guessing you will drive right past it. I'll stop in to see if they...

Once you're asleep all wrapped up in your comfy sleeping bag you are just a burrito for the bears... bear spray is just the hot sauce!

https://www.overlandbound.com/event/the-north-idaho-meet-up-is-heading-south-to-juniper-dunes-and-the-snake-river/ If you guys haven't seen this rally point yet some members for the Spokane area will be down at Juniper this Friday night then heading for Palouse Fall for lunch and on to the...

US Northwest Inland Northwest Adventure Group- Eastern WA/North Idaho/Western Montana

Looks like they are calling for some wind (15-25 mph) down here tomorrow and Friday. Hopefully it dies down by the time you all arrive and don't get sandblasted too bad out at Juniper. Rest of the weekend looks pretty decent for camping this time of year. I'm kind of surprised you haven't had...

    The Tri-Cities Clubhouse

Did you ever end up getting one of these? I shared the link with a friend, he said when he tried to check out it was a cheesey fake Chinese site. Wondering if you had the same experience or found one somewhere else?

    1965 International Travelall Panel Build

Just watched the link you posted and that Ram is pretty cool for a low buck build. The WJ they have been working on is awesome, probably the direction mine would go if I were to pick up a different family camping/trail rig. So far I've been conservative with my WJ since we drive it to camp and...

    Maxxis RAZR AT 811

From my experience with A/T tires I will choose the Cooper over the Falken Wildpeaks every time. I've run a lot of both and the Cooper out performs and out lasts the Falken in our applications. From what I've seen once you are down to 50-60% tread life on the Falken they can't get traction in...

    Maxxis RAZR AT 811

You are spot on with the road noise for the RAZR MT's! That's one of the first things I noticed when I put them on my Jeep. I've ran them on all sorts of terrain and they've always worked great. I've put them on a few F250 farm trucks and got surprisingly good mileage out of them as well.

    Maxxis RAZR AT 811

I've never ran these but have ran multiple sets of the Razr MT and have been impressed. Maxxis makes a good product and has been in the off road game for a long time. I have run a few different hybrid tire and would say I liked the Nitto the least, could have just been the set I had or the...

    1965 International Travelall Panel Build

At this point I'm pretty open to what the next build will be but have been looking mostly at 1st gen Toyota Sequoias. I would love another Suburban but they're just too big for the trails I like to run. The Sequoia seems like a good size, bigger than FJ80's, 4runners and things like that but...

    1965 International Travelall Panel Build

Who are you getting your shackle mounts and pre fabbed hangers/brackets from? Kicking around some ideas for a possible future project and trying to figure some cost and feasibility. With a newborn and how big Tinkerbell is the WJ just isn't going to be big enough for us anymore.

Midwest Voyager - 04 WJ Grand Cherokee

When I built those I used osb because I had a sheet laying around and well didn't feel like going to buy a sheet of plywood. While they are still usable and good shape some of the screws have pulled out for the lids so I'll be pulling them apart to rebuild out of better material at some point...

Midwest Voyager - 04 WJ Grand Cherokee

Spot for the dog was another reason for building mine as I did, we have a Great Dane/ Mastiff mix so that setup gives her plenty of room. I put up a pet barrier on the edge of my boxes so she gets between it and the front seats then pack all our gear between it and the rear hatch. The amount...

Midwest Voyager - 04 WJ Grand Cherokee

If you currently have the 249 Tcase shop the wrecking yards for a 242HD from a early durango, the ones that came in the WJ are hard to find. It's a part time case with a full time option. That's what I did with mine, the rebuild and install was pretty easy. While at the wrecking yard I snagged...

Midwest Voyager - 04 WJ Grand Cherokee

Good to see another WJ build on here, looks like you got a good start going. Like others have said there isn't much out there for the WJ for off road parts or pre fab drawer setups. I did something similar to what @tjZ06 mentioned with removing my rear seat and built drop in boxes for storage...

US Northwest Inland Northwest Adventure Group- Eastern WA/North Idaho/Western Montana

Sounds like you guys will be right in my neck of the woods, our farm boarders parts of Juniper dunes and I drive by the entrance multiple time per day. When you leave there heading for Palouse Falls you will drive through/past our farm for about 10 miles assuming you will be going north on the...

Looking better by the day! That thing is gonna be awesome when up and going, really going to turn heads on the trail. I'm only down the road so give me shout if you ever need a hand. What are you running for springs and shocks? And about how much lift will you have on it?
