Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Hey @WouterP :)
I'm sure you'll get answers here as many of our "mid europe" members have driven this path. But to make sure you connect with locals during you trip i advise you to also post in the concerned regions forums : East Europe + Scandinavia.
Cheers
Let's face it, sometimes even with eyes wide open on the tracks, iOverlander, park4night and other ressources, it can be a pain to find a spot to sleep in the wild.
I usually try to find plan B spots on gamping.fr to avoid "regular " campings as i kinda hate them unless they are tiny /...
You are doing the right thing. It is the Darwinist way of planning haha. I mean, the whole process looks always the same to me : the first plan is big as you want to see the most you can while you're there. Then you let it cool down and begin to look deeper into the maps and double check things...

Unfortunately, french have not understood they could make money with overlanding tourism. Paying a toll would be great but the motion is more to restrict the area to motorized vehicles. Stupidity at its best : last year they said the tunnel was too dangerous so they would close it for good...

Oh you found it on a website called dangerous roads so you already know [emoji23]
Yes the tunnel is legendary and there is a risk. Also for the road as some side (i don’t remember which one it is) wether which way you get into the the tunnel can be very dangerous (not consolidated and parts...
