Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I'm hoping to be there. We went to Death Valley over Christmas and had some trail carnage. Snapped the rear axle. Got a used rear end assembly and got the rig home but it needs work to bring it back up to par, plus a full check up on the rig, front end is making extra noise. If I can get it all...
Spent the week in Death Valley. Got a few trails in..then broke an axle in Dedeckera Canyon and spent the rest of the week finding, getting, and swapping a whole rear end assembly. Thanks brother to saving my keaster.
I drive a 99 GMC Yukon. Yeah she's a little bigger, but she's solid, easy to work on. I can find parts anywhere for dirt cheap, and I haven't had to do much too it all. She's quiet and confortable.
I use a buddy heater for the RTT. Set it in the annex and let the heat rise, always stayed toasty. For inside the trailer we've always just piled on the blankets, we're getting some electric 12V heating blankets for backup for our Death Valley Trip around Christmas. It will be nice to climb...
I'm getting constant notifications from anyone that posts anything on the forum. If I click on them they come up saying "needs valid conversation id" . Never had this problem before, I should only be getting notifications from the forums I follow or participate in.
We decided last night we should see how cold it's going to get while camping in the desert this weekend.....teens at night, brrrr
Just can't stop exploring! Lol
Trailer carries 20 gals. If I'm going to be gone longer than 2 nights I'll carry at least another 5 gals if not more. Going to install a second 20 gals tank sometime. Also carry a case of water bottles in the truck.

Raptor lined the rocker panels of the Yukon. Paint was wearing through and starting to rust. Sanded her down, and sprayed her. Maches the black so well you almost can even tell.
The trailer got an up graded battery as well. AGM sealed and designed for solar useage, should get some good power...
Sand blasted the bottom of the trailer, getting it ready to rino line the whole underside. Also decided the rig needed a new air filter..what do you think?

Trailer is the best option, for me at least. Keeps the center of gravity lower on the whole setup. It's pretty high as it is and adding more stuff to the top I didn't like. Plus with the trailer we can setup camp and leave still. We probably haul more gear than we actually need, but if it gives...
Did some camping. Found a few trails, some mud, and some puddles to clean all the mud off with. Climbed a rock or two. All-in-all an awesome weekend!

Installed a new battery isolator with the capability to connect the 2 batteries in parallel so I can use it to jump myself. The old isolator crapped out.
