Your heat shield rattle could be a cracked heat shield. Had a car once that rattled bad once it got warmed up. Was real loud. Turned out to be a very small hairline crack in one of the heat shields. Once it was welded, no more rattle.

To get the longer travel won't the kit also provide lift? How much lift do you expect? I have a 2015 Canyon, Crew, Short Bed, 3.6L, 4x4
