Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Yes I saw your list from something you wrote before and it is one I am going thru seeing what I want to use. Yes very minor changes to make it a little more capable. Put the badge on her today.
Just ppicked it up Monday, 2.5i. Scheduled for a 2" Anderson Lift, tires and skid plates. Roof rack going on today after a long drive from Vancouver, WA yesterday where I picked her up. Ran great.
Calling her Jod after my late wife Jodi, we'll still be traveling together. Happy trails everyone.
Just picked this up, now to get a 2" Anderson lift, Yokohama Geolander tires and some skid plates. Roof rack goes on Wednesday. Driving back home from Vancouver, WA to SoCal tomorrow
1984 Ford Brinco II, lifted 2 inches with 32" BFG tires which was a few vehicles ago was my first ADV vehicle. Before that had a 1973 Dodge Van I used to race MC's in the desert, it went all over out there in places it should never have gotten in. I hope to purchase a Subaru Outback this weekend...
I am in the market for a new Outback for the same reasons you are and with the same mods. I am going with the Anderson 2" lift, Yokohama Geolander A/T G015 tires, roof rack, etc. Will get it ready for an Alaskan Adventure in 2018.

Could you please send photos of the exterior, interior and engine to tvparch@gmail.com. I am in SoCal but my son lives in Vancouver and works in Portland so he could check it out for me. Have a great New Year.
Thank you for the info. I have thought of doing the Dempster as it was right out of Dawson but was unsure of the scenic value of each. So another new plan arrises, this will save crazy milage and be a better fir for me. Will a Subaru Outback with 2:" lift make it to the end? And how is the road...
Been doing some serious thinking here and I think I want to eliminate the Marine Highway south and drive it.. Will see more of the land and I think it will be less $$$. I still will use the Marine Highway to get to Glacier Bay between Haines and Skagway. With a possible trip to the far north if...
