  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

We just unloaded our 06 GMC Sierra. Found a decent 03 Montero for 4 grand. Love this thing and I've only driven it for an hour, including the test drive hahaha

Welcome to the Western Canada thread

We were contemplating going there a while back. Glad we called ahead. Apparently there was some event going on the same weekend and they were packed solid. Even the rooms were all spoken for... It's still on our destination list tho. Have some online acquaintances down that way so it'll be a...

Trail Guardian - Leave it Better Than You Found it

We do this even when we stop for a trail break. Always police the area we've camped for garbage including ammo casings, bottle caps and cigarette butts.

If this stupid work thing is done, I'm down. I'll be central so I can roll in any direction really... Might be a few minutes late but I can try to make an appearance for sure...

    Edmonton Trip/Camping?

W Washed out at the marker south of the Mountain Park marker, SW portion of the loop ;) Solo crossing would have been potentially expensive indeed lol

    Edmonton Trip/Camping?

Drops off pretty good at the lip. I was just told a Jeep can make it but in my 3/4 ton long box, it would be sketchy as hell (especially when it's our only vehicle lol).

    Edmonton Trip/Camping?

Not many really. Just before the "road block" on Cardinal River Road, we found a quad trail (and what appeared to be a makeshift horse coral) and took the truck as far in as we could. Ended up having to turn around. At the quad trailhead. A km or so before the washout, we decided to...

Welcome to the Western Canada thread

@vagabondexpedition you ever go near Wayne and the "Last Chance Saloon" near Drum? We're thinking of checking the area out and spend a few nights tenting it. Haven't spent much time there since I was a kid (other than blowing get through town on a Hotshot run)... not sure if you're local to...

    My "low key" overland pig

Loves me some tequila lol. Nothing done to the suspension other than giving the torsion bars a bit of a crank to level it up a little I put some 235/85R16 on. A tad narrower than stock and a touch taller at almost 32". The ride is SO much quieter than the Duratraks lol. As for tent, we use a...

    My "low key" overland pig

Hmm, done some. Added a slide-in truck camper umbilical hook-up. That'll power my battery box/power station I've been tinkering with in my spare time. Also added a tailgate seal by Truxedo. We went out a few weeks ago and half the time we were on oil/logging roads. Zero dust in the back of...
