    Water Storage

1 gallon per person per day is a ROUGH rule of thumb. Scepter 5 gallon jugs are the best you can buy. They are expensive although I found mine for 20.00 a jug used. They will last forever. The problem with cheap containers is that they are so heavy a small fall can total them out, then you are...

07 GX470 with a home built trailer. 4200 mile round trip...

Those two containers slide perfectly into the back of the trailer like it was built for them. Not an inch to spare. When I discovered this I couldnt be happier. Damn things are almost air tight and bulletproof.

    The 3 Amigos in Moab

Yep, too cool. I`ve never really seen another place like Moab. Trust me,I`ve pretty much driven the continent. There are lot's of outdoor-centric towns and cities but they are in line behind Moad. It just isn't the off road either, I saw from white water sport to mountain biking. We had enough...

    A week through Appalachians

Yep, noisy? Allow me to comment. During our( above mentioned post) 4200 miler, we were camped in Utah desert, dispersed camping area. Dead quiet; we could just make out various camp sites through the trees. Quiet and nice, till along wallows a RV motor home. Who parks, and fired up his generator...

07 GX470 with a home built trailer. 4200 mile round trip...

Everything worked out perfectly. I think I will be swapping out the axle, leaf springs for a Timbren axel less system though. A 75AH battery provided juice for fans in the tent, LED strip lighting and plenty of plug in's for phones. Water was from 4, 5 gallon Scepter jugs. No fridge yet, just a...

    Member Feature How-Tos

My 07 GX470 is pretty much stock as well, AT tires added; however I pull my off road trailer to carry the RTT and all the camping, solar, water, goodies. The car is my every day driver and I don't currently need lift, racks, Armour etc. Just finished a 4200 mile trip and everything was perfect.

    Jerry Can Filler Advice

I like my funnel made from an old 1 gal. gas can, with the old style filler spout. I just cut the bottom off of it. Insert spout and pour from gas can into the funnel.

    Caving!

Ahhh yes. Another old TAG area caver checking in. Like you guys, we have done most of the TAG classics as well as pushed a few new ones, back in the day.
