Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
why don't you give me a time when you can be in Fawnskin Friday, and I will meet you there. We could also have dinner at the North Shore Café. Great food.
Okay, great.
I have decided to try and camp at one of the Yellow Post camp sites. There are quite a few up there, and several near Fawnskin. There can be as many as eight people in each site, so if I get one there will be plenty of room for you too. I will let you know if and where I get a...
Hey guys, I am thinking of going camping up at Hanna Flats campground next Thursday through Sunday. Anyone interested in joining me?
The campground is about 2.5 miles from Fawnskin, which will make it easy for us to meet up with the others coming up for the trail ride on Saturday morning. If you...
Hey guys, here is a link to a new video by Josh Neosser on the 5 top easy to intermediate trails in So. Cal.
Take a look. We have been on several of these trails.
Hey rburton164,
You can't go wrong with either the Colorado or Canyon. There are only minor differences, unless you are interested in the ZR2. Basically both the Colorado and Canyon offer the same equipment, except for the ZR2. The ZR2 has the front and rear lockers, 2" more ground clearance...
Hey Jackfive:
You won't have any problems with a stock Tacoma on these trails, they are rated Easy.
For information on these trails I can recommend you go to TrailsOffroad.com and look up 2N01 Broom Flat trail, and 2N02 Burns Canyon. There you will get all the answers to your questions about...
I talked to Dom earlier today and this is what we decided to do for this Saturdays trail ride.
We all will meet up at the Angeles Oaks Café on highway 38, at 8:00-8:30 A.M.
We will leave there by 9:00 A.M. and head north toward Big Bear. Then take the Broom Flat trail (2N01) and start down the...
Hey Dom:
Why don't we meet up at the Angelus Oaks Café on the 38? We could meet up at about 8:00-8:30 and leave there by 9:00.
What do you think? We could also have breakfast there if we get there early, 7:00 A.M.
Great! Now we have at least three going. I think Dom and Scott will also go. So June 22nd is the date for Monache Meadows.

I took this trail a few months back. Was with TrailsOffroad mapping the trail. You can see the trail video and map at Trailsoffroad.com here:

Are you asking about the Overland Expo caravan? If so, the inland empire group will be leaving early morning Thursday May 16 and traveling by the I-40. There is a separate thread on here for Convoy 40 where you can join in.

We are looking at the weekend of June 22nd.
We just need to get people to commit to going on that weekend. Is that date good for you?
Anyone else want to go?

We will take 395 past Pearsonville then up the mountain on 9 mile road past Kennedy Meadows, then take the Monache Meadows jeep trail to Monache Meadows. The jeep trail, I believe, is about 8 miles long.
