    Real OVERLANDER rig import

My goal is the WAY , not a DESTINATION. Thus I'm focused on adventure and impression what I'll meet for sure visiting and overlanding your beautiful country and other America's countries too. The tool to choose for this to happen is more or less on the second plan. Still might be exciting to put...

    Real OVERLANDER rig import

You are right >diabetiktaco< - but those mates fro YT are importing most expensive cars, like Unimogs, Pinzgeuers or G-wagons. I am focused on Y60 highroof PATROL - I doubt anybody in USA would be interested to buy it modified. Origal and perfect - maybe. but not modified. Maybe I'm wrong...

Member Introductions *NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCE YOURSELF*

Rusty they are ;-) Still SYNCROs keep their value extremely. So there is a point to rescue even most rotten one. If U need anything for this plan - let me know. Most of the panels and parts are produced here in Poland and cost like nothing...

Let's see those rigs in action

Hej >Oneleglance< Very nice rig - this transit. I love those 4x4 vans, modified for overlanding. They much a ton of more potencial. Still, wouldn't be better to reinstall this radiator we can see on the picture, situated under bumper? In rocky and desert condition - probably works fine but here...

    Real OVERLANDER rig import

Yeah, I do think the same. There is no clue to drag my own vehicle or the same brand (model) which is not present on US market. I love JEEPs, FORDS, GMCs a lot  and the only thing is that I don't know them at all. I also have had plenty of discusions with my US mates - wanted to buy...

    Real OVERLANDER rig import

I have double checked the subject and this is how it goes. So short-cut thinking is like - never think of importing a car youger then 21yo. Be very carefull of importing agencies that calim that can do this - IT IS ILLEGAL and Homeland Security agents may just seize Your car if they find out...

2018 Nissan Armada as overland vehicle

Dear >bnyc000< Your american Armada is REALLY equall to Y62 Nissan Patrol that Aussies modify into tough off-road vehicle. As far as you have 4x4 model (from 60'ties avaiable 4x2 patrols) you have the same rough Patrol gen. Go for australian pages to buy some mods (lift, front locker, bumpers...

Whatever rig is most important GO OUTBACK! And if You have diff-lock on driven axle - You will get most of the places like 4x4 without lockers IMO

Steel winch cable vs synthetic rope

Most impressive winching while OVERLANDING (not racing) Meeeen - this guy has balls!!! 3:14 minute of that film

Steel winch cable vs synthetic rope

Yeah, I always say the same: go as far as You can without a rope and turn back because You never know if it's not worse behind the hill ;-) Better to equip the car with maxtracks, chains, even portable winch/manual kifor - best for overlanding where the WAY is more important then DESTINATION.

    Real OVERLANDER rig import

Thank you >Slimpartywagon< I know US have some regulations according older cars. Looks like the most reliable models comes into this age (when did it happen ;-) My concern is only if the owner of vehicle imported in that way has right to make any changes in it.... Might be that those...

    Real OVERLANDER rig import

Dear OB mates I want to travel across both Americas and got to consider two options: - Send my rig to USA - Import off-road vehicle to USA, register it and drive around on US plates - Buy the rig in USA Thus I want to ask You how it is really with 25 year and older car import to US. Could any...

    What do YOU consider "capable"?

I do think the same. However new DEF might get different opinion after few years of owning/off-roading. Geometry isn't stupid. Ergonomy eighter. Still suspension idea and plastic everywhere makes her far away from predecessor.
