Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
To add on to this, avoid going though Old Sluice, it’s arguably the toughest section of trail and there is a bypass that goes completely around it. This section is between Little Sluice (also has bypass) and Buck Island Lake. There really are few real bypasses in the trail. The 2 I mentioned are...
I have run it both directions so to be clear, unless you are really set up for rock crawling, going in from the Tahoe side (commonly known as running it backwards) you should not venture past Observation Point. Cadillac Hill is just past it and depending on the rock placements is a real deal...
Will be my first time at a meetup as well. Looking forward to it..... haven't had the Jeep out of the garage in too long. Should be a nice day to cruise up Hwy 1 from Santa Cruz.
Well I went in the north side of the loop and gave it a shot but I don't think I made it in 1/2 a mile before I called it quits. There are a couple rock gardens that just wasn't worth the risk for me. I would say with the right line and some underside banging it could be done but with a truck...

Didn’t startle but caught off guard for sure. [emoji1303] first time anyone has even noticed that I have the badge on there. All good brother.

So didn’t go past Arnold but did this loop now called “Lauren’s Loop” since my 15 year old driver in training handled the dirt duties. This is right next to White Pines.
