Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Picked up the Yellow Top I've been ogling for awhile. Pep Boys has a 25% off promo right now which took the total down to $192 for the 34/78 model with top and side terminals.
I'd installed the battery mount a few weeks back and the dual battery kit delivers tomorrow from Amazon. Funny enough...
College student driving a Land Rover? In college I drove a 76 VW beetle I had to push start every day and use the emergency brake to stop. Lol. Times have changed!
Enjoyed some wet, muddy roads above Clear Lake, CA then across Jackson state forest today. Had a major downpour all night and the tent held up like a champ. The ARQ awning not so much.
Finally received and mounted up the ARQ270 awning. It's actually bigger than I expected, but you certainly get what you pay for here. This ain't no Eezi-Awn. But it will do fine for my needs.
I was skeptical on the size of an F250- but if you find one offset you'll probably love it.
The FSR is my first RTT, and I'm really happy with the value of it. I really wanted an XL size for the whole family, and FSR had a good price and great colors. For the price point you don't get some of...
Hi Andreas- yes this is the center mount, and I just stepped out and measured 46" from center of the hitch to center of the tire carrier hub. Hope that gives you enough clearance- let me know what you think. Thx!
Do you use standard paint brushes to apply the reformer and barrier? Never thought about doing this but I can see the value- your underbody looks so nice! No double-entendre intended.
Funny my next choice probably would have been white! Maybe we can trade when we're both ready for a change :).
If I had the $ I'd also prefer a trailer for this size of tent for sure, but that's just not in the budget. The two ladders are great, but I'd say the wall is more or less useless as...
As soon as I finish the fridge box/slide I'll add a thread with some details. I learned a lot reading many many other build threads to finally land on this design. Happy to pay it forward.
So this morning I disconnected the GROM. Suddenly everything worked great- put back the GROM and it all kept working fine! So just the act of unplugging and re-plugging it all back in seemed to fix the issue. Hopefully it stays that way. Thx everyone.
I have a classic Wilco Hitchgate for sale that's been used on 3 trips. Manufactured April 2016 so it's about a year old. No rust, works perfectly. I also added a rotopax mount but I'll probably keep it. But the holes are there to add one if you want.
I'm going to get another one but need it to...
