Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I shoot the Canon EOS RP with a Canon 24-105 f4-7.1 (kit lens), a Sigma 100-400 (ef mount with adapter), and a Canon 50mm f1.8. I'd really like to upgrade to a 16-35 for landscapes and a 24-70 f2.8 for the better aperture. BUT... I am a hobbyist, so it's hard to justify the cost. I might go...
Having worked for Discount Tire as an Assistant Manager for ~5 years, I will tell you that the KO2 will last a long time BUT you have to keep up on the rotations. If you don't, they will start to cup. Once they start to cup, they will vibrate and bounce you all over the place and there is no...
I have the Sigma EF 100-400. It's a great lens, but I'd like to get native and they (Tamron or Sigma) don't make RF glass yet. The Tamron 24-70 is 1/2 the price though... The Canon EF to RF adapter has been sold out almost a year though and my off brand adapter isn't great.
I shoot Canon and I really want a RF 24-70 F2.8, but holy $$$. I take photos for me, so I have no revenue stream from it... Makes it much harder to justify.
I have a knockoff Helinox that I bought from Costco. It's a decent chair. Comfortable but low to the ground. I bought it because I could carry it on my motorcycle while traveling. A lot of my equipment was purchased with the requirement of being carried on my 2008 Street Glide. I've camped...
AT stands for All Terrain, which is a compromise between on and offroad designs. I have the BFG AT KO2 which handle like a dream on road. I haven't had this set offroad yet, but I've had them in the past and I know they do great. They aren't the best, but that's the compromise.
I made the ultimately adult decision to remove the 285/70r17 I had installed yesterday and install the 265/70r17.
The 285 fit, but rubbed a bit on the crash bars in reverse. They also rubbed on the sway bar at full lock. The amount of work needed to get them not to rub is not something I am...
I say keep the CB. You can never have too many methods of communication. I have the MXT275, which is great, but I will add a CB and HAM later. I miss the days of CB only, simply because different groups are on different comms and if you don't have their method, you can't communicate.
After driving for a day, I decided that the 285s were too much for this truck at this stage. They were going to rub when flexed, since they already rubbed in reverse and under turning and braking. I also watched my gas mileage drop from 26 mpg to 12 mpg. I can't handle that. I know I will...
Well... I did a thing yesterday. I had a set of 285/70r17 test fit on the Ranger and found out that they will fit in stock form. So... I brought them home.
I am debating on keeping them. They are the size I have always wanted to run, but I can definitely feel them on the truck. I have to...
I will be there. I can come down Friday and stay through the weekend. I will probably be up for more 'light' trails, but I can't want to meet more people. Going to try and get the wife to come too.
