    Propane mounting options

Good call. I should have included that. 97 Tacoma with a softtopper. No rack Custom bumper with dual Jerry cans and spare tire swing out. Was considering getting a single can holder and trying to mount the propane next to it.

    Propane mounting options

That's another challenge. My bumper is pretty much full with 2jerry cans and the spare tire. Will likely have to be in the bed of my truck.

    Propane mounting options

Thanks. I had already been thru that thread and only didn't see many viable recommendations besides what TahoePPV mentioned . Was kinda looking for better ideas.

    Propane mounting options

I just got a 5lb Flameking propane tank and I am looking at mounting options and it seems like the mounts cost more than the tank did. Any suggestions for options $50 of less? I'm fine with tools and DIY and have a couple ideas for fabricating my own but wanted to see what the community says also.

    Propane mount

I'm interested in mounting options also. I have a 5lb tank but mounts seem to cost more than the propane tank itself.

Unfortunately there's no facilities where w will be camping. I typically use a pop-up privacy tent.

I have 40 acres on the Terlingua Ranch that serves as a great base camp for visiting the park as well as Terlingua/Study Butte area. We plan to caravan from Austin on Friday morning and arrive at camp late afternoon. We will spend Saturday and Sunday exploring trails and taking in the beauty of...

for fuel, I typically fill up in Alpine and also carry a 5gal tank. We can also fill up in Terlingua if needed. I'm happy to offer the 5gal to anyone who needs it. For comms, Joe has a couple handheld motorola radios but I don't know what technology they use. I believe it's GMRS. Food is the...

You raise a great point regarding the 600 miles. When I created the event, it asked for mileage and my brain automatically assumed the distance from home:grinning:. I updated it to reflect a much lower number. No itinerary or maps, just want to check out the area. To be honest, I have no idea on...
