    The Mother of Plow Disks.

Well, since we have a family of 6, cooking is normaly on a larger scale. So I decided the plow disk would be the easiest to cook for crowd. Another member mentioned Southwest Disk, so I checked them out and decided the 24" Rio Grande would meet my needs. We'll...I got it in today, and all I...

    Plow Disc Cooking

I decided to purchase the southwest disk. I decided this because they offer a larger disk. I have a party of 6, so the larger the better. I'll do a review once I get it in.

Are you using the Southwest disk? I saw that Rio Grande and a 10% coupon. I may pull the trigger on that. What are your thoughts on your disk?

    Rooftop tents?

I personally like the pop up tent for a couple of big reasons. 1. No matter how flat of an area you choose to camp it's flat. You don't wake up in the middle of the night laying on that rock in the middle of your back that you missed earlier 2. It's seems seems to stay warmer than laying on...

    When I grow up...

The good thing is, you already have the biggest expense sitting in your yard. Trailer parts are really reasonable in price. Besides your time and labor, you might be able to build this pretty reasonably. On the flip side, it depends on what you plan on putting on the trailer (solar, water...

    When I grow up...

All you need is to weld new perches to your axle. It won't work if your axle has a natural bend in it from the factory. If you zoom in you can see where the new perches. And yes, you opened a can of worms, but, you'll get a lot of good ideas for building your trailer.

    Lock n roll customer service

I see what your saying. I thought I had seen it with the adjustable set up. The one picture further down is what I was thinking of. I don't think it'll work. I'm just going to run my pintle for now or until I get tired of the extra banging, which isn't to bad. Thanks for posting this link.

    When I grow up...

You should have a couple of options for changing your lug pattern. I think a jeep is a 5x4.5 not 100%. Spider Trac has a spacer that will space your wheels out 1-1.5". I also think for about the same price, you can buy new hubs with the right bolt pattern.

    When I grow up...

Nice project! It took me about 3-6 months to plan, read forums, change my plans, read forums, change my plans again, then decided to pull the trigger. If the axle is in good shape, the first thing you can do is flip it. It'll lift your trailer about 6". It's cheap, and makes a big...

Starting My Project Build From Scratch.

Update: I found a shop that will powder coat my trailer for $450. It should be finished sometime next week. The holes are all predrilled for the marker lights and brake lights. I think my trailer is weighing in at around 650#. I'm getting anxious to take it out on its maiden voyage.

Any pictures? I have an adjustable coupler at the moment. Will that work? I'm finishing up my build now. I am running the pintle hook for now. I may want to run the Max Coupler later.

I did forget to mention, that all of our Boy Trips are without technology. It forces them to use their imagination, and to communicate to each other as well. So far it has worked out pretty good.

    Taking your kids on trips

I have 4 kids (1 girl 13 years old, 3 boys 12, 10, 8 years old) my wife and daughter are not big fans of camping. The boys love going on camping trips. I do a boys trip at least 2x a year. They are in charge of starting the camp fire, using axes, knives, and everything my wife would cringe...
