    Plain vs Serrated knife

I'm a big fan of the Esee knives. I use the Junglas, Esee 5, Izula I, Izula II, and the Candiru. All my knives are a straight edge. Serrated knives have it's place, but for 90% of what I do, I don't need it to have a serration. Straight edges are a lot easier to sharpen also. I have used...

What would be your first MOD to a new Toyota Tacoma?

I added the Billstein shocks all around, an AAL in the rear from Headstrong, and a heavier coil in the front. The ride seems softer, and added about a 2" lift. I couldn't bring myself to change out the new tires yet. Once these wear out, I'll get some better ones.

    Tepui Fest 2018

Tepu Tepui has the one from last year on their website under past events. I would think they'd let people bring their dogs

It looks pretty cool. $75 isn't bad if that includes food and everything.

    Fly Fishing In the Sierras

I took off for the day and went fly fishing. Some of the best fishing are the spots that are the hardest to get to. Lots of hiking, and lots of sneeking up on trout that are spookish on everything. The fish weren't large, but a blast on a 2wt fly rod.

    Matrax Mounts and locks?

Yep, I just re-read your other post. I thought you were also looking at the awning mount. The clamps are the same, it's the bracket that makes the difference.

    Matrax Mounts and locks?

You can also contact them. Their customer service is great. I have their clamps on my Tepui. At that time he didn't have the tepui option, but he got the right one for me that fit it. They're pricey, but functional.

    Knife Sharpening

I use this same setup. It's a great inexpensive set up that does the job. I don't take it with me. I'll sharpen all my stuff again after the trip.

    Headed to Morro Bay

Yep, same thing happened to us last year. We tried to get away from the Valley heat. We got up there, and found out they were experiencing record temps.

    Matrax Mounts and locks?

I use the same clamps. They work great. I went to Ace Hardware, and picked up a pair of locks

What's your MPG (fuel economy) on the road.

Fuel mileage stayed the same after taking off my tent. But my gas mileage dropped to 17-18 mpg with the trailer. I averaged about 62 mph on the freeway.
