  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Communications Gear & Thieves

Hello all... So, in my Rover I use several forms of communications Gear...My most basic is my CB radio. When I first outfitted the Rover I was running a Galaxy 99v 10 meter radio...it lasted 3 months before a thief smashed my drivers side window and took it... Next up, was a tweaked, tuned...

Any Interest in a Photo how to?

Nice! Yeah, I've got an Argus C44, a Kodak Pony 828, a Ricoh one five nine, Miranda Sensoret range finder that is similar to the Canon Canonette QL, and the very iconic Polaroid SX-70...all functional but don't use them much. The Ziess Ikon is on my wish list as is a Hasselbad 500...but...

    Water-proofing

I am in agreement here. I very rarely cross deep water...ONLY WHEN NECESSARY...and in general I don't cross water at all if I can help it...it hurts eco systems. Now that being said, I am sure most of us have been on washed out trails during rainy or flood season... it's good to be prepared. 99%...
