Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Added the Lexivon lug nut socket set, a Lexivonn torque wrench, and a breaker bar to the kit today. Now I don't have to carry the 4-way lug wrench around that takes up too much room and only has four sizes on it.
I was going to go with the Mountain Hatch panel but they were out of stock when I wanted it so I went with the AL Offroad Trailgate. It's made of Aluminum instead of plastic. Still had to wait a little while for it but it should be here Tuesday. It'll be interesting to see how it holds up.
Hi Ben. I have OnX Hunt, OB1, and Gaia GPS. I did not subscribe to OnX Offroad. Gotta draw the monetary line somewhere. I'll use OnX to find public land and give me property lines and use OB1 and Gaia for mapping and planning. I'll use either OnX or Gaia to track my route. Hope this helps.
Find some public land you can access and start driving. Start with the forest roads and get more adventurous as your skills and kit grow. If you have doubts about a certain obstacle or trail, turn around. Especially if you're by yourself. Beyond that, you could look for a 4x4 driving school...
