  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Overlanding in a small economy car

So according to your fuel numbers you are going to save around $700? How much are 5 tires (rims), a lift kit(labor), roof rack, comfort? If it is just the challenge go for it, but I think it is a false economy move.

I agree very simple. I'd like to see the bottom hinge up out of the way when not holding a bottle. With the one I made I use a bolt to hold the top ring so no straps or hose clamps to keep track of. My base is bolted on and doesn't stick out too far when MT. Gotta think outside the box...

Looking for Tips for Death Valley Steel pass, Dedeckera Canyon

I've been through there with 8" clearance at the diffs a few years back. I have heard on the Saline Valley forum, Saline Preservation Association , that last winter/spring storms changed it and it is more difficult now, as is the sand by Eureka Dunes. I know nothing about the capabilities of a...

    Coleman stove issue----fixed!

I have an old Coleman 2 burner stove and a Stanley cookset. The cookset doesn't sit good on the wide grill slots. I fixed it by using bicycle spokes to cross hatch the gap. It's all on my blog; https://poppageno.blogspot.com/2021/...grill-fix.html
