Food for thought - we have found that we can pack more food if we carry basic ingredients instead of pre-made food. Plus it's usually better. You just have to choose your food wisely regarding it's storability.
The slide in looks like a camper called the Gazelle. I think made in Switzerland and sold in France. I looked into it while living in Germany. In the end decided on our German Fernweh-Mobile.
Last weekend I went to an Offroader's Meeting.
The usual stuff: camping, cool rigs, bonfires. Also both nights there were multimedia presentations given by attendees. One was a trip to Malawi and another to Mongolia.

So, I took out the back seat of my truck to build in a storage rack. It's a steel frame with diamond plate aluminum cover and aircraft seat rails for mounting stuff. It attaches to the seat and seat belt mounts so no modification was done to the truck and can be removed completely or in peices...
