Pretty much that. In fact, I built my Fuel can mount to easily unbolt from the truck bed. In reality, I need it 2-3 times a year, so, no need to have the can or bracket taking up space.
Yep..
Since I rarely use my CB, I leave it mounted, but pull the antenna and leave it on the floor behind the seats. I run a 4' antenna and noticed a MPG drop with it on.
It might be. There is a fair chance one or both have outstanding warrants, the van is not properly registered, it's not the first call the cops have had, etc.... Also, more than likely, they have discovered a spot they feel no one bothers them, so, a visit from the authorities questioning what...
This is an annual event put on by the Midwest Overland Society (not a O.B. sponsored event)
Rendezvous 3.0 is on the calendar! Once again for the 3rd year running (hence 3.0) MOS will be hosting a free gathering of overlanders in northern MN outside of Backus MN at the Foothills Horse Camp...
When I dropped my '11 frontier off on Friday the service writer said the same thing. But, upon picking it back up he said they had no issues with the update.
I'll piggy back on Daniel Etter's comment. I'd add the spring with the proper lift height and spring rate for how the vehicle is normally loaded and THEN add the airbags for adjustability for when you load the vehicle up if needed.
It was the creek near my house. I was the typical loner kid with divorced parents in the 80's and would ride my Huffy as far as my legs would take me in search of my place in the world. The Minnehaha creek was a tucked away nature area right in the middle of the city. When I was unhappy I could...
I have a $700 beater that gets double the MPG's that my truck does that I drive most days to work. Truck is used on weekend, for adventuring, when I need a truck and when I want to try to look cool.
I also agree. When I set out to look for a truck, I searched by features and not brand. I had never even thought of a Frontier and once I test drove what is now my truck, I had to have it. Also, price is why I did not get a Jeep.
This is part of how I legitimized my front suspension upgrade last April. I was at 75K miles, so, things were a bit worn out anyway. My upgrade was going to require new upper and lower control arms as well as inner and outer tie rods. But, now at 78K miles my entire suspension and steering is...
Awesome. my last truck was an '03 Ranger edge. Yours is built on the 4WD chassis, so you have ample ground clearance for a 2WD truck. I ran 31x10.5 All terrains on mine.
X2 on aftermarket upper control arms. You may have issues getting the camber set right and will have limited droop with the OME setup and stock arms which will limit the ride off road. When I had a 2.5" spacer lift on my Frontier it rode not great off road and the camber was never ideal.
While not state shaped, I get a state flag patch for each state I have taken my truck to. I get them here.

Not being familiar with the underside of your truck, Would you get better protection from adding full skid plates? While my Frontier is shorter than your truck, most of my driveshaft is protected by the transfer case skid, the gas tank skid and the muffler. But, as stated above, most problems...
Just to stir the pot, While great, unless there is winter and wet off road testing, all this desert and dry climate testing does nothing for me in Minnesota. And no, testing in a fresh snowfall is not "winter weather" testing.
