    Oops! I did it again!

I looked at a number of them - CBI, Southern Style Off-road, etc. Rago’s sale, and the fact that they’re a couple hours away here in Texas so I can go pick it up and not pay shipping pushed me over the edge. (That and I finally sold my Ironbull bumper from my Expedition)

    Headed Off Grid

Headed to an undisclosed location in New Mexico - attempt at sounding somewhat sarcastic and sinister intended. This is the Runner’s first foray off road. She handled it well. Now let the work begin.

    Coffee in the 4Runner

I have been on business travel for the last week and then again tomorrow, so I had forgotten. But, thanks for the reminder. I do plan to be there.

    Coffee in the 4Runner

I didn't realize there was anything primitive out there, just the established campground. As I mentioned it used to much more of a “primitive” campground. It’s now only primitive in that it’s tent camping and no real amenities. It does have a bathroom and I believe some running water. It’s...

    Coffee in the 4Runner

Tejas Park on the San Gabriel. West end of Lake Georgetown. It is a primitive campground, but is not so primitive anymore. Used by mountain bikers as a trailhead for the trails around Lake Georgetown. A lot of houses being built closer to the campground as well. But, still a good place for a...

    4Runner Progress

The Runner is running taller on its Rancho RS9000’s Quicklift front coilsprings and rear shocks and the Rancho coil spring spacer in the rear. Gained 3” up front and 2” in the rear. Now I just need the Rocktrix RT107’s in 18x9 for the Toyo Open Country ATIII’s I have in storage. Next will...

Ironbull Bumper for 2007-2014 Ford Expedition

Ironbull bumper for 2007-2014 Ford Expedition - asking $1200, but will consider reasonable offer. Prefer local pickup, but will consider shipping. Will meet at a reasonable distance if in Central Texas. Buyer pays for shipping.

New Overland Rig - 2015 4Runner Trail Edition + Prinsu Roof Rack Install Video

I just bought a 2019 4Runner a couple of months ago. Have some Toyo Open Country ATIII tires that are from my old Expedition. They are 265/70/18 with only 8-10K in miles. I wanna use them as on my 4Runner, but I’ve been concerned about them in the front wheel well. Given I will add a 2” lift...

    4Runner Progress

Got the idea for using the space for a power panel from Wanderlost Overland on YouTube. Check their Dual Battery setup video. Near the end of the video they show how they made their panel.

    4Runner Progress

The mods are coming, but slower than expected. Made use of a wasted space - idea came from a YouTube channel. Just need to find a live wire(s) to tap into that is hot full time. Looked at the wiring for the existing power plug and inverter, but it is tied to the ignition. Any experienced...

    Blank Canvas

Continue the progression. Cali Raised LED 8 switch pod. Under dash switch assembly installed along with the switch pad. All I could get done before a severe thunderstorm blew in. Power connections tomorrow and hopefully front and rear ditch lights and 6 inch rear light.

Concur on the weight consideration. The Rago bumper I’m adding is only 100# and the winch is about 40#. And, the winch is what I got and it’s practically new. It is lighter with synthetic line. So, gonna try it. If it seems to be too much, then I can swap it later. Appreciate the input - it...

Have decided to sell the 18” and get Toyo Open Countries for the 17” stock wheels for now. Definitely sticking with the Toyo’s though. Were I going to do some real wheeling, then would definitely consider beadlocks. If I start making some trips where wheeling is unavoidable, I definitely...

Looking seriously at the Rago Low Pro bumper. They are in Kerrville, TX and that’s just a couple hours from me. I spoke to them and the owner told me my Smittybilt X2O 12.5K winch I had in the expedition would fit. That should be more than enough!
