Yesterday while trying to use the map off-grid the OB1 map would only display "preparing for adventure" with the loading symbol and nothing else. It did show it was in OFFLINE MODE. (Android 12)
Is this display intended?
The highlighted thread was authored by me, but the activity shown was written by @Jim SoG. Looking at the preview it appears (at least to me) that I wrote the @Michael.
I just measured the response time when selecting a support thread in the app.
3 minutes 10 seconds until the thread grays out showing it has been selected,
4 minutes 42 seconds until I get the loading symbol,
6 minutes 50 seconds fully loaded.
The post loads in approximately 1 second when...
Base camp has been secured. It is the location that we used every year except last. Here's a Google link to it, but it's also listed in the location tab of the rally point.
Google navigation may tell you that you've arrived when you're still actually out of sight. Continue on up the hill a bit...
The web browser has an RP option to MESSAGE ATTENDEES. I cannot find this in OB1. When I open a mobile browser and choose this function it opens OB1, but yet that function doesn't appear to exist there. I was forced to use a PC to send the message.
BTW, I tried to open this support thread...
I see that the Google link I provided didn't work exactly like I intended. For future reference, you can try the navigate link on the main rally point page or paste these coordinates into Google maps and use your typical navigate features. Try this link and use your start button and see if it...
The link to our primary targeted base camp is below. Hopefully our primary determination will have been made by Thursday AM.
Anyone arriving Wednesday or earlier, please make sure I know this and have all your contact information so we can work together to secure the campsite.
Again, the...
The following would make a great loop if you didn't mind getting a little bit further away from telluride.
Depart telluride via Imogene pass to Yankee boy basin and to the town of ouray. Then take the closest access to engineer pass trail off of 550 (aka Mineral Creek). Proceed all the way up...
You're correct in that people will be arriving at different times so what seems to work best is just having base camp be the Meetup location.
We have ideas of those who arrive the earliest so we make sure they know the plan and convey to the group what gets nailed down.
In the past few...
Many of the main details are unable to be nailed down until the last minute.
This has been an exceptional winter so many of the high elevation trails will be late to open and we won't know until the last minute what's available.
We're unable to post a definite base camp location until the...
While I realize you're looking for something closer, I'll put this offer out there just in case it suits your needs.
I'm 126 MI to the south in Pueblo West. I have an acre and the whole backyard is privacy fence and locked. We are here most of the time.
If you're moving everyday and driving most of the day, there probably wouldn't be much traffic there after say 5:00 p.m..
On a trip where you're not using a base camp that might be an option I had never considered.
I rode with some guys that took trailers up engineer pass before, but it wasn't that hardest section AKA mineral Creek. We also went early enough in the day that we avoided a lot of traffic.
I think corkscrew pass would be your tightest switchbacks in what you have planned.
