    Water Purification System

Lanlubber: be aware of the amout of bleach you use. 1-2 tablespoon(s) per gallon is standard to sanitize as per food service HACCP programs. As far as application time goes: soaked for 30 minutes, rinsed well with fresh water then allowed to air dry. Don't drink the bleachy water friend!

Road Shower vs. Waterport vs. ?

I received my water port and am very happy. The build is good, heavy duty and locks onto my hitch with a padlock. I was surprised by the pressure just from filing with the garden hose, it was every bit as strong as the hose. The pressure pump cap works (slowly) but considering that's an of...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

If it's the DJI phantom 4, I strongly suggest the $130 "care package". I crashed mine on the second flight testing auto-home feature and have had 4 "Intelligent" batteries just stop charging

Road Shower vs. Waterport vs. ?

I have been thinking about this purchase for awhile now. Wanted something that would be good for cleaning up after the beach as well as multi-function during camping. I ended up purchasing the waterport from Costco this week when it price dropped to $130. I like the trailer hitch mount option...

Trying bread in the Dutch Oven

I make this cornbread in an 12" iron skillet. I measure things out before I leave and mix all my dry ingredients together in a bag. Might be worth testing in your dutch oven. The key is to pre-heat so you get that nice caramelization on the bottom and sides 1¼ Cups flour 1 Cup cornmeal, finely...

Trying bread in the Dutch Oven

Higher hydration doughs (peasant bread, ciabatta, etc) work excellent in a dutch oven. Crispy crust, soft open crumb and deep flavor from caramelization. Pre-heat your pot, put your proofed dough inside, top with lid and use a bit of dough to seal the edges.

    Compression bag question or ??

When I roll up my heavy bag, I get my wife involved standing on one end while I pull and roll. I use a rolling pin to help. It's not very mechanical but it works. If you are just trying to get it back into the sack it came with, there's no need. It's better for the bag to not roll it up like...
