Yes and No. there are a lot of things you pay for at Disney that you don’t need at a National Park, amusements, security ( at Disney level), landscaping. I’m just talking crowd control, food, parking, and design and construction. Have you ever seen subpar construction at Disney? They know how...
I hind it funny that President Trump gets labeled as not being a statesman, but it’s ok to call him President Orange.
One issue I see is presidents wanting to pad their legacy by adding to the National Park system or other public land but than don’t fund it. Obama was great for this. The...
Do you have any place in mind?
We hardly never stay in campgrounds preferring dispersed. But for something like this it would be helpful to be in a campground. What happens if we pick a place in the Nat Forest and we show up and there is someone or a group in the spot? Then we need a plan B...
I posted the rally point for the meet up this Thursday Here. Hope you can come out. We have been having 25-40+ people coming out the last few months.
Since we do the fourth Thursday on the month we'll need to come up with another day in November and December. I'm not sure what we'll do yet...
This is a Meet and Greet in the East Valley but is open to anyone.
Rudy's BBQ in Gilbert.

Gilbert, AZ 85234
We will meet at 6:30 if you are coming to eat, then will move out to the parking lot for awhile (If it is too hot we'll just stay inside). You are welcome to come at...
Because we had to move our trip back 3 weeks we hit the fall colors at their peak. That was well worth it.
This is our setup, I now have two cheap 55AH batteries in the tongue box for the teardrop for power in the camper. It powers lights, water pump, furnace, and different chargers (USB...
First some back story. You can skip to the What I’m doing now part if you want.
We got the Snomaster in the spring and used it on a few weekend trips with no problem. Our setup was fridge in the Jeep and the battery was in the tongue box of our teardrop camper. It was a new VMAX 125AH AGM...
Glamping is where it’s at.
Adding a Snomaster fridge/freezer to the back of the Jeep has been great. It was a bit of a learning curve for the power requirements, and I think we have it dialed in now. Also helps that it’s not 120 degrees.
If your on the fence about getting one, go for it.

Any interest in a meetup on a Saturday afternoon into evening with possible overnight camp? I’m looking to set one up in early November, somewhere in the valley, maybe at one of the local parks. Anyone can come out for the day (might be a Park day fee), or spend the night (there would be...
With the limited use I've had with my GMRS, in my area there is little use on any of the channels. I don't see a lot of need for privacy tones. When I do hear someone it's because I put on "scan" and might pick someone up. Most all the time its someone with cheap handhelds and in a few minutes...
I will guarantee it will be 100 times better than Fort Tuthill's cell service. So you can expect crappy cell service. Even no cell service would be better than Fort Tuthill's service. And it's not just an Expo thing, we camped there a few months ago with my daughter that went to a concert there...
