Man that sucks. No major injuries to you? I feel your pain though. My first Xterra (2003 jet black 5spd 4x4) was totaled and it made me sick because I loved that thing. Took me 5 years to find the right one to replace it. I'm very partial to the first gen xterras.
I have the latest tester update 11.0.3 I cannot load any forums and the app thinks I don't have data connection. Also when I try to pull up map, rps or profile the app crashes and closes by itself
Rear Tire Carrier
Coming Soon! I found one heck of a deal on a rear tire carrier for the Xterra. I'm going to pick it up soon and I will have pictures and info posted to follow!
No the front diff and t-case all go up to the top of the bell housing so I didn't see it necessary. I don't see my self going that deep of water. This is my overland rig so I don't get too crazy with this thing. It spends more time on the interstate than anything. Maybe 1 to 2 weeks every few...
Yeah. the xterra is so stinking easy to drive in tight parking lots and traffic without even thinking about. It just whips right where you point it. The ranger on the other hand, NOPE! You have to really think about where the wheels and the side of the truck is. It's kind of frustrating at times.

Welcome! Be fore warned haha! This is an endless rabbit hole lol! But boy is it fun! I did my first overland trip back in March through the Georgia and Carolina mountains and I was hooked. The comradery among the overland community is awesome and you can make some great life long friends too.
Hey welcome fellow Xterra owner!
I too have a first gen Xterra that I am building overland style.
2003 Atomic Orange XE 4X4 AT
Yes! Definitely build away! You won't be disappointed. I love the simplicity of these vehicles. 100% all mechanical 4WD system which is unheard of these days. Yeah...
Just confirmed with Gulches ORV Park. This weekend is a go! If you have any pruning or trimming yard tools you can bring it would be very useful. Hope to see you all there! Check in is 8:30-9:00 am Friday morning. Look for the orange Xterra.
Keep a watch on the Gulches ORV Park Facebook page there is a possibility they may have to close due to weather. If this happens we will reschedule this event for a later date. Unfortunately due to the counties requirements this park has to shut down in the event of heavy rains and they are...
