With the cost of brand name foldup tables being ridiculously high, I designed my own table. A local fab shop made me the table $50 and Home Depot provided the hardware $10. And voila!

I took a drive on Monday back in the forestry land use looking for some new trails and possibly some new fishing holes. Well, the results were amazing. I found myself the best fishing hole with at least 20-30 fish.

So I love to cook while overlanding and I thought I would build myself a collapsible cooking station. It was really easy to make ($50) worth of lumber. Pine shelves, 1x4"s, 2 hinges, brace plate, couple of plastic knobs, couple of carriage bolts and some lacquer. The results are, well have a...
The 410 Expedition Team #OB0250 is setting out for a weeks overland trip thru the Rockies of Alberta and British Columbia. Our first stop will be Tunnel Mountain in Banff, Alberta for 3-4 nights. On our travels we will stop at the famous Chateau Lake Louise for some hiking. The view is one of...
Father's Day weekend was spent flyfishing with a buddy. That was our "Father's Day" gift from the wives. No kids, no wives. So we set out to explore some possible spots to camp next to Dutch Creek and the Oldman River. At the end of one trail, we found the perfect spot where the creek and the...
I have been debating whether or not a get a snorkel on my JKU. I've been getting mixed reviews. I don't intend on using it for forging water which everyone thinks it what its mainly used for, but to use it for fresh clean air coming into the engine and giving me more power. So I've heard. And it...
The Jeep Junkies club in Calgary, Alberta had a Show 'n Shine at our local 4 Wheel Parts store. The attendance was amazing and the weather was beautiful. I got a little bit of a redneck sunburn. Most of the Jeeps where mods but only a few Jeeps had the Overland mentality. Here's a couple pics...
So the boy and I packed up the rig and the trailer and headed out to Porcupine Hills, Alberta for our annual Father/Son weekend. It was wet and extremely muddy. The road in was, let's say, a little sketchy so in 4H I went.
We decided to sleep in the Jeep as the ground was way too wet. We...
Okay Fellow Overland Bounders,
The 410 Clan needs your help. We are thinking of going from Alberta, Canada to Zion National Park this summer. We would love to know what the best adventurous route would be (nothing difficult, please). Camp spots, amazing sights, etc. We only have 10 days to...
So I came across an old army rucksack I had and I said to myself says I"Hey, I can put this to good use". I cut down the wire frame and rigged it up with some army straps to my spare tire. This thing has 3 exterior pockets, 1 hidden pocket and 1 big pocket in the hood. Cost $0! I like $0!
Some often ask me "what is the purpose of those wires from your hood to your roof rack?" We "overlanders" know, but it makes for a great conversation and the response is always "Cool! You do that stuff?" I want to share how I added limd risers to my JKU.
First I'll do the roof rack. Everything...
A couple years ago, my father in law gave me his utility trailer. It needed alot of work so I got to it. I stripped it down to the frame, redid the wiring for the lights and gave it a new coat of paint. As I couldn't afford an AT or Chaser trailer, I decided to build my own out of pressure...
