    New Member from New Mexico

Welcome! I'm on the East Coast, but originally from NM. There's a group out of El Paso that frequently goes in to NM for trail rides. I've seen a couple of their videos on YT. I think it's Southwest Overland. They seem fairly reasonable on trail selection and everyone drives home :)

    750kg Trailers

Your weight limit is going to keep you in that teardrop/squaredrop style, if you want it enclosed (sleep in). I don't know what's available in Germany, however. Have you seenthe videos by Must See Tech (https://www.youtube.com/c/MustSeeTech/videos)? They review a lot of different pieces of...

Forum section (subsection) for new owners

Was clicking around and looking to see if there was a section for new owners. Might be a good way to communicate. Haven't seen any new [status] updates since the offering was closed and a few messages came out about delays with perks etc. I'd be very interested If one already exists. Thanks!

Refilling 1lb tanks, who does it?

Yup...I do it, but as TahoePPV pointed out the green bottle should be real cold and if your big tank is new/full, that helps even more.

    Modular cargo conversion

Looking forward to following the build. How big is the new cargo trailer? Double axle...should be capable of hauling a lot...

    GMRS

Midland MXT275 (with the small basic antenna) and two Cobra handhelds. All work well.

    GSI Coffee Rocket

Thanks for posting. I have something similar, but all one unit. Mine doesn't work too well, however...the container that holds the coffee would eventually clog and only about half the water would seep through. I like this one...

    Scottles Worth the Price?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Kahuna burner with a discada. I think the price has gone up more recently, but they were typically around $100...

OB Approved US Comms - An Introduction to your communication options

The club I ride with is using CB with no plans to change, so I'm going to install CB in the cab , but I would like to avoid having to install multiple antennas. Would I be able to use a CB antenna (which is longer) with a GMRS or HAM transceiver? Or, is there a mount that can host either...

    Any Exped Megamat Max Owners?

Wow, that Exped Max Duo 15 must be like sleeping on a cloud...I'd be anxious to try the others if they're even more comfortable than the REI Camp Dreamer. I have to agree that the pillow-pump that comes with it is pretty useless. I just put my mouth to the valve and gave it about 5 full breaths...

    Any Exped Megamat Max Owners?

I recently went in to my local REI to buy an Exped Duo, but they were out. The Rep there recommended their in-house brand "Camp Dreamer" which was about $80 less expensive than their price for the Exped. I was told it was the same manufacturer with a similar design; one way inflate and one way...
