Another option. Garmin has the garmin connect app. With any garmin GPS with Bluetooth. Or download able tracks. Once the track and way points are uploaded it will automatically lay it over the map. This way you are able to see it overplayed on a the satellite view as well.

Yes much cheaper. However you get what you pay for. It may take more amp hours then one of those others. But for what I'm using it for it works.
Tent is roofed, awning is mounted, pvc water heater is heating...well not really cause 12 dec c..but who cares.....2 weeks overlanding in Ontario ..cant wait
So not sure if it will work for you. Its not a arb or dometic, but I've been using a koolatron. Super slim fits right in that spot. 12v dc and gets down to 5 deg c. I can send u some more info.
I do sympathize with you thoughts. When I started the process into it I was flabbergasted at the cost of things. And yes...if you look at all the primo kit and price everything out, it can seem very elitist.
HOWEVER...
