We stayed in the turn out on the left right before the last bridge 07/26. We were real close to the water. Didn't put poles in river but a guide came up as we were packing and caught one right off the bat. The hot springs there was nice too.

FYI-Laurel Lakes and tributaries are barbless lures only and the lakes are not stocked. Real pretty location. You shouldn't have any trouble with the trail.

The big thing I see about the Skottle is the fact that it is self standing. I use a colman and a skillet and it is a two hand operation sometimes with the hot skillet sliding around as you are trying to cook eggs.
