Thought some of you might find the following interesting. To me, this is what real 'overlanding' is all about.
Back in the 1950s the husband and wife team of Alfred and Jakobine (Cordes) Hobbs packed up an old, 1935 Austin, London taxi cab and spent four years traveling the world...
Dude... several years back I got stuck in NYC when our flight was delayed and didn't make it in time for the connecting flight. Fortunately the person the wife and I were traveling with knew someone who lived in the city we could stay with. At 2am it was decided to have pizza. Our traveling...
Y'all haven't driven till you've driven in downtown Cairo!! LOL
There's a reason I avoid driving on the freeway at all costs, especially in the Land Rover. Mine was not built for speed so I take the back roads and enjoy the scenery.
I have had SPAM Musubi before, but have never made it myself.
I recently found out that the best ways to make the form is by using the can.

We tried the Figgy Pudding SPAM over the holiday. Most of those who tried it were rather surprised. The most surprising was the mother-in-law... she is an incredibly picky eater and she loved it!!
Believe it or not, SPAM's popularity is rising rather highly and their sales are excellent.
Absolutely!!! I barely knew how to change spark plugs and do an oil change before getting my SIIa. It has taken years to get it where it is now. Part of the deal made with SWMBO in order for me to buy it was that I learn how to fix it. It's been a slow process, but I can honestly say I did...

I have...
Guess it depends on which Rover. I know of an unmodified (except for an overdrive), 1950s SI Rover that completed a 4K mile trip across the US earlier this year. Know of a guy who has crossed the country several times in an unmodified 1960s SII, as well as a few other Series owners that have...
Oh man.... a friend in the UK just sent me this pic and said it was dinner tonight.
Evidently they are not available in the US, not that I've found anyway.
Thank you. We have a Christmas parade every year, so it's kind of a requirement for the vehicles that participate. There's a rumor that Santa will travel to the tree lighting ceremony via the Rover.
Than you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!
Just snagged 2 2-packs!!! Hmmm.... maybe I should try to sell a couple of them - parts for tge Rover! LOL Nope, 1 is to try, 1 is to save and the other 2 will be gag gifts for Christmas.
