I have done that, pulling off the positive cable to check the alternator on my cousin car. That was an expensive lesson. If I remember right, when I was younger we would do that to check the generator.

Hi Eric, I bought a case for mine. Inside the case I put a rag under the saw to catch the oil. It came with a scarab to protect the bar and chain.

I bought a Amazon Snorkel for my Third Gen 4runner about a 3 years ago. I am slowly working up enough courage to cut a 3 1/2 inch hole into the side of my rig. I was wondering which is the position to point the top? Back or front? I also saw one that had a pre filter on top to catch the dust.

I put White Knuckles on my 3rd Gen 4Runner. Easy to install and they look great. Two thumbs up.
