    Travel in Iran

My first trip to Italy in the mid 80's was scary. The airport in Rome still had blood on the wall when the terrorist blew up the place. I traveled extensively in Europe through these years and it was nervous. People pushing wheelchairs with folks in it over the side on cruise ships, bar bombings...

    That does not sound good

A ball joint that's about to self delete. LOL A tie rod end would be a "lighter" sound. Less steel. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Zim

    Ideas and help

Drive it. Don't spend a dime until you know what it will do and what it will not do. Take some weekend trips, feel it out and have fun. Then start adding to it, modifying it. The most important thing is to do is have fun, be safe and be a steward of the land. Zim

    Overland "Types?"

Good question. It's going to be the same as the folks you meet every day. Some poor, some rich, some hateful. I've lived in the Forest for almost three years and have experienced all of them. Your ability to deal with multiple personalities will determine the outcome. I do well but the older I...

    Handhelds or vehicle mounted

Thank you again for your contributions to my laughter. LOL True Story and a sad one. I was on the AS18 Orion for many years and physically watched the amputation of a shipmates arm on a 34 antenna. It actually started the tag out program for the Navy if I remember. I had just finished lunch and...

Pots and pans (and kettle?) - nesting, compact, not crazy expensive

I don't have any suggestions because I carry a chuck box full of stainless pots and pans. LOL I don't care if it's 2lbs or 25lbs I still get 12.3 mpg on the road and I've got the room. I remember the Boy Scout pot and pan kits we had back in the 70's. Huge and heavy. Zim
