2016 JKU Rubicon Hard Rock - Jolene

We've had the Costway fridge for a few months now and have used it on two long trips (~2000 miles each) and it's been great. I definitely feel the pressure to finally install a dual battery setup in the Jeep, though. I installed a solar charger in the engine bay so during the day we can have a...

I'm going to be putting together another meet & greet / trip combo event for January. I had hoped to have one here in December but between a Baja trip we just completed and now the scheduling madness of the holidays I just couldn't find a time I could do one.

    Arizona Overlanders

Darn, I wish we could join you but we're stuck in town this coming weekend for a couple of events. I'm considering slapping a last-minute overnight trip together for next weekend though. I'm thinking like Rug Road or just Copper Creek/Sibley Mansion (both east of Mammoth, AZ). I'll keep this...

    Southern Arizona Christmas trip

YES! I'm based out of Tucson, AZ and have some pretty decent knowledge of southern AZ and most of the borderlands. Here's some of my past posts specifically about the southeastern borderlands: https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/road-trip-through-arizona.17417/#post-238058...

Welcome to the group! I have to admit, i spent a good 15 seconds trying to figure out what the heck kind of antenna loading coil you had attached to your bumper before i realized it was a steel drinking cup, hah!

    Baja vehicle insurance

i'm not sure if any companies offer off-road insurance, but I do know that the "normal" mexico vehicle insurance that you are required to get does NOT cover any off-road driving or "unconventional roads" which sounds subjective from Bajabound: Coverage is only valid on conventional roads...

OB Approved 10 Tips For Sleeping Warm In Camp

This is a fantastic write up, thanks! I always had a gut feeling that #4 "Wear light layers only in your bag and not too many" was true, so it's good to see in listed here to give me some reassurance. At some point in my life of camping i started to realize that I seemed much warmer when i would...

    33's or 35's??????

Why not just split the different and go with 34"? I run 285/75/17 (33.9") on my JKU and love them. I'm too lazy to figure out what the equivalent 34" tire would be for 16" rims though
