    Homebuild RTT Ideas?

i read a few DIY RTT build, before finding my used Bigfoot Explorer, and in my opinion (who cares) the amount of time and effort spent making my own (from what I have seen these build take a while) it was going to be easier and cheaper to buy one. Fire starting magic!!

Everyone has they're methods. Try a few different ways yourself and maybe combine a few techniques and develope you own ways. The only way to get good at starting a fire (or anything for that matter) is practice practice practice. Also practice when having a fire is not a necessity so the...

Had to make adjustment when I got home. Now it's looking like I am going to need to make a support under the front of the tent because the rails are mounted pretty far back on the roof and when the tent is centered it interferes with the rear hatch. I removed the spoiler but that only helped a...

I'm going to utilize the two post vehicle lift at work today to lift the tent off the basket rack so I can remove the basket and lay the tent onto the cross rails. Still need to work out some mounts/brackets. Update. My boss allowed me to use the shop on my break. When I lifted the clam shell...

I need a ladder for my roof top tent. Ideas?

I was looking at some telescoping ones as a potential option. Still not sure what will work. I'm going to utilize the lift hoist at work today to lift the tent off the basket rack so I can remove the basket and lay the tent onto the cross rails. Still need to work out some mounts/brackets.

    Best truck-bed tent?

This is a great option, I had the Napier truck bed tent (mossy oak eddition) and loved it but you have to completely empty the bed to set it up (which is challenging but not impossible) Good luck on your purchase.

Yesterday was a complete success. I got way more done than expected partatily because everything is SO simple on this vehicle. I was planning to just pull the hood and fenders and look at the bumper to see if its removable or welded on. And this is how far I got... (See photos) So what I...

Had the most productive weekend. I was able to make huge progress on the garage. Also I found a way to get Choppy into the garage without moving the trailer/camper out of the driveway. I'm pretty impressed and happy with the results. So the donor vehicle is in the OR and ready to be prepped for...
