Challenging, no. Worthwhile, I believe so. We haven't camped overnight in Michaux yet, but plan on in the next couple months. Our group will be going back to Bald Eagle State Forest May 24-26 if you're interested.

Not really. Would have to travel further north in PA for more technical and challenging trails. Have you checked out Green Ridge to the West of you? That's s nice area and not much further drive for you

Everything in Michaux is pretty simple dirt roads. There are a few spots on the Northern end that are a little rougher. It's a nice scenic drive, but it's a blast in the snow.

The MABDR does travel through Michaux, but that GPX was mine that day.

I've driven almost all of Michaux State Forest. I was actually just there last weekend and drove 42mi South to North. I've been 45mi driving South from the Northern end too. It's really fun in the snow. We'll be in Bald Eagle State Forest this weekend.

We are currently using 5yo Mombasa standard RTT. We'd like to upgrade to a extended RTT, preferably 56". CVT Mt. Shasta Summit series or similar. We would like a more winter friendly HD RTT.
