The blue blazes are from the Pinhoti Trail that starts out down towards the southern end and the trail goes all the way to GA. The Pihoti is 370+ miles, so there are camping sites along the way.
Hey, Im from down in Birmingham. I have done the Traverse a couple times, once going to Overland Expo East and one coming from Overland Expo East. It's a nice trip. Took 3.5 days to get up to Asheville. Me and a friend will be heading to Overland Expo West in May via Ouray, CO; Moab, UT; and...
When me and a friend went to Expo East in November we took the Georgia Traverse from Alabama up there and knew ahead of time that since there had been a hurricane through there a couple months earlier that we would probably run into trees down across the route. We carried chainsaw and axe and...
Is space isn't an issue... There's always cots. I use a Byer of Maine EasyCot and have a 1.5" memory foam pad that I have cut to size and sleep very good. Even before I had the memory foam with it I slept very good.

Awesome, Me and a friend will be coming from Birmingham, Alabama. We are going to get there via a Ouray, Moab, and then on to Flagstaff for Expo. My buddy that is going went to West 2yrs ago but this will be my first trip to Expo West. We went the Expo Experience route so looking forward to it all.

That's the downfall to the soft tops on a Jeep. I have a premium *twill* top that is much thicker than the sailcloth the standard tops are made with. I just added a Garvin roof rack w/ the wind deflector that was supposedly going to keep the wind noise down and oh my word it's much louder. I...
I have a Samsung Tab s3 w/ built in GPS, microSD expansion, 9.7" screen, and a ruggedized case that I run Gaia and GoogleMaps on. It is mounted to a accessories bar via Ram mounts.
