Maybe pick two weekends in a row? That way if first is calling for rain, we can hopefully roll to next. But, as much as it has been raining on the weekend, going to be hard to find a dry one! Might want to make a month or so out to give time to schedule in? Or just meet up and do a day...
My neighbor and I camped at lake James camp ground (Paddy camp ground), near Morganton,NC. The next day drove Old NC105.
I am also interested in checking out Lake Norman camp ground, but don’t think there is Much around to ride, except the 30 miles of mountain bike trails, which I like...
Hello, from Lake Wylie, SC. I am up for monthly meet up’s. I prefer Saturday or Sunday as meet up days.
I think once we can get a feel for the group and what there rigs are capable of, that will determine what we as a group can do?
Easy day trip could be Old NC105
It has been a wet one around here! Seems to rain every weekend. Was really hoping to camp in snow!
Should be better when I upgrade to roof top tent this summer!
Camping in the rain is NO fun! Time before this trip, we went to Price lake camp ground in Blowing Rock, NC. It poured all night long, and barley sleep at all.
The cot tents are quick and easy to setup. Usually put a tarp over to keep dry getting in and out in rainy weather.
Was going to stay Saturday night, but did not know how bad the freezing rain and sleet would affect are tarps? If called for snow, would have stayed.
