You might be thinking of a older show, but the one I just watched on YouTube has a original airing date of 9/20/2020. Check it out. Les is a knowledgeable guy.
My 2000 F250 XLT Super Duty 4x4, currently building the camper inside with a bed, table etc. Its a solid old truck with the 5.4, 6" Rancho lift and added front/rear leaf spring suspension. Soon upgrading to 305/70-17 tires and fender flares.
Who has seen the new series by Les Stroud Survivorman called Survivorman Bigfoot? I'm not one of those who laugh and dismiss this subject and Les Stroud seems like a genuine and serious guy. My personal opinion is that the wilderness is far too vast to rule out the existence of Sasquatch...
The Treet is what I call poor mans Spam, lots of salt and preservatives but it beats going hungry. I'm a fan of the beef stew, like Dinty Moore...add some crackers and you're good.
I used the website instead of the app to make my payment, and I may have been having a problem because of using a privacy browser that blocks pop ups and data mining...but it did finally work.
Yes Sir, I had to get the 8ft bed and the raised roof shell mainly because I'm 6ft 5 and 300 plus pounds these days, so those little camping cots don't exactly hold me. LOL I'll add some more pictures soon as the project continues, but with the 3/4 inch plywood and 2×4 legs, I think it's plenty...
A winch that mounts to a reciever hitch and can be moved from front to back? Now that's an idea I could go with. Any info on who makes that mount? or is it made by the winch companies?
Late to the conversation, but in my experience generally the import stuff can get very pricey, I'm very sympathetic to a limited budget, so I try stay domestic. Different people have different experiences and the makes all have flaws. Ive always had best luck with a Ford, I've always been hurt...
Well, I'd say "safely off road" just depends on where and how far, so that's just knowing the terrain and capabilities of your vehicle. In my experience most of the modern stock bumpers are pretty thin, folks usually upgrade just to add a winch, but I definitely would have some good tow points...
New member here, we definitely got rained out for the weekend but I'm interested in making a trip to one of the meetings in Virginia. I'll keep a eye out on here. Jim-- Tidewater.
As retired military, I have no patience for anyone who fails to practice basic common sense firearms safety. Stay vigilant and be aware of your surroundings, Don't be afraid to speak up and hurt some feelings, it could save someone's life.
This is my 2000 F250 I'm currently working on. The budget camper build I call it. Its just a standard XLT 5.4 Triton and was already lifted with heavy front/rear leafs added. Just added a rack for the sleeping bag and there will be a tire upgrade soon.
I enjoy the channel and offroad/camping ideas. I hope to get to a East coast meet up sometime, still building the rig for now but it is progressing. I had some difficulty getting the website to work when I tried to upgrade my membership, hopefully Support Dept can help. Thanks Jim...
