Thanks all for the input, advice and suggestions. We started from the 17 side from Flagstaff and completed Schnebly Hill Road, followed by Broken Arrow trail, then spent the night and following day on Forest Road 525 exploring all the adjoining trails including Outlaw Trail. Sadly, we came upon...
Taking a solo trip to visit family south of Tucson via the Sedona area. Looking for any suggestions for dispersed camping, trails to see, etc. Leaving this Sunday and wishing to arrive south of Tucson on Wednesday afternoon. Thanks to all who have posted GPX files and gps coordinates for recent...
So far, first impressions...very, very happy with it. Very well built, lines match the Jeep and appears to be exactly as advertised. Now the fun of placing things, playing Tetris!
Will do! I went back and forth whether to go tonneau with bed rack or the RSI. I ordered about 45 days ago, so hopefully worth the wait. More to follow!
Metal Cloak Game Changer 3.5" lift last Friday, new tires this afternoon, and install of the long awaited RSI Smart Cap evo tomorrow. Pretty excited things are finally coming together on my build. Images tomorrow to follow.
Working on the Gladiator JT build. Slowly, parts are coming in. Decked for the win over the weekend. Waiting on the RSI Smart Cap Evo; hopefully by the end of April.
After having my JT for two weeks and just having to slab it down to Arizona unexpectedly...and putting on 1200 miles, I’m happy with the upgrade but I’m still having heartburn over the price. I couldn’t agree more; obscene the amount the JT goes for and my dumba$$ paid, but it is nice.
Well may man, I pulled the trigger and will be eating Mac-n- Cheese for a while...thanks for your input and observations. I went to "look" with my wife on Saturday and we couldn't help ourselves. Al lot of haggling and such, but we came home with a loaded up 2021 JT Rubicon Gladiator. I hope...
Thanks everyone for the replies and sharing your insight and experiences. Looking ahead to purchase something in the coming month and just wished to hear some real world experiences.
Many thanks for the most helpful information and reply. You raise many valuable points and your observations - opinions are most welcome as you have much experience and have owned - driven many other Jeeps ; exactly the input I am looking for. Are you going to the meet up this Sunday in...
Great build and thanks for sharing! I am looking hard at the JT or possibly a JL / JK to upgrade to and build for overlanding use, also becoming a secondary vehicle. My current Jeep, a 95 YJ is very built but has become more suited for rocks -trails, but not for highway or long distance slabs...
Many thanks. It’s going to take some time, but as they say “ it was a deal you can’t refuse.” Put on the back burner for the moment as I wish to change vehicles and find something more comfortable and suitable for these awesome overland trips. My current platform is most capable but set up...
Looks awesome! I just picked up a project my son and I hope to begin working on shortly. A 1946 Willys CJ2A. It’s going to need a lot of work, but hopefully we can make it a driver in the future.
Sorry to have missed you as well. Something must have been in the air as I also had some mechanical challenges during the day. We arrived as planned and began the Deer Valley trail at Hermit Valley. While starting over the gatekeeper obstacle, I thought I had picked a bad line and somehow...
