I checked the Prescott National Forest website and they are only listing closures for the Goodwin Burn Area. Senator Highway runs right along the outside. Worst comes to worst we will have to turn back and head towards I-17... thankfully I just added a new gas can to my gear collection haha.
I should be there Thursday as well... probably be at the air down spot around 1045 or so. I'm from the Prescott area so I may take Senator Highway all the way back into Prescott and/or camp out near Horsethief Thursday night.
Who would be interested in staying overnight at Horsethief Lake Thursday - Friday and then driving the rest of the way up to Prescott VIA Senator Highway or something like that?
Also what are people using for communication on the trail? I have no comms at the moment and might use the trip as an excuse to grab a CB or walkie talkie even lol.
And while I am thinking of it... for those that are new to AZ (I only moved here 3 years ago) I recommend getting the Funtreks...
