    Roof Top Tent/Truck Bed Campers

I just went on and applied the 20% Member coupon code and it accepted it. Tepui Kukenam Sky 3, normally $1499.95 marked down to $1199.89. Haven't checked out yet, but it did let me apply the coupon. It does say it's on back order and should ship within 30 days.

    Roof Top Tent/Truck Bed Campers

FYI..........if looking at Tepui at all REI is doing a 20% off one item thru May 27. You do have to be a member though. I didn't see anything in the fine details about tents not being included or a limit on money off. I'll have to do some more reading on that though. If true, it may be worth...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Been tossing around the idea of a Tepui RTT. Now REI has gone and done it. 20% off one item through the 27th, plus you get you dividend next spring......so saving like $420 with no shipping cost. Making it very tough to hold off for a bit. I would need to get some sort of rack for it still...

What kinda material for campfire and stove?

I have a small one in that "backpacking" set that is titanium which works great for me. I do need something like a collapsible bucket for washing in. I'll just find a pot somewhere that is bigger for these trips that involve a few more people.

What are you guys using for boiling water?

What kinda material for campfire and stove?

Use to love the peach cobblers we made in the dutch ovens when we were in the Boy Scouts. The dutch over has been sitting in a box in the basement for a couple decades. Need to get it out. Don't know how much I'd use it if it's just me camping.

What kinda material for campfire and stove?

I do have a new 12" lodge cast iron skillet and old lodge dutch oven (from our Boy Scouting days). I also have a small cheap titanium nested set that works ok, but could be a bit bigger. It's more of a single person backpacking size set. I typically do a campfire at night and just cook on...

    Looking for a pop-up canopy

I was thinking of doing the same thing. But someone responded to a post I posted a while back about using one of the Clam pop shelters. Which I am thinking to be a better option as it stops the bugs and in Michigan, they S U C K!!! Now it's a matter of either a Clam or Gazelle. Anyone have...

Boxes, items, etc while away from vehicle (hiking, biking, etc)

Ultimately if/when I do a RTT (leaning towards it more and more) I will have the same sort of deal. Shorter rack and my locking tailgate will make it hard to get stuff out.

Boxes, items, etc while away from vehicle (hiking, biking, etc)

Think that is what I am going to do for now, since it is a one time issue. Get something to help cover the seats to help keep them clean. I use an old bed sheet now, good for dirt, not for moisture. And I need new boxes anyway, the ones I have now are fine for dry conditions but not it rain...

Boxes, items, etc while away from vehicle (hiking, biking, etc)

Not to be snarky, but that's not going to leave much with 3 people in the truck. So I'll have to secure the stuff somehow in order to venture on. Since I hate the idea of a tonneau cover or cap then I have to come up with another solution. I've seen one tonneau cover that looks good, my...

Boxes, items, etc while away from vehicle (hiking, biking, etc)

Thanks, that was my thinking as well. New boxes have been on my list, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Boxes, items, etc while away from vehicle (hiking, biking, etc)

Do you all worry about your stuff while away from your parked vehicles? Thinking more for stops along the trail, route. Like stopping at some popular landmark where lots of people stop. Or stopping at a trail head for a day walk. Etc, etc, etc. WORRY in the sense of how much do you secure...

    What did you forget???

Last weekend I forgot the extra thick socks I use for sleep in and my feet extend beyond the end of the mattress I use. Plus forgot antacids. So I woke up with freezing feet and horrible heart burn.

    What boots do members wear

For day to day I wear La Sportiva Wildcat Trail Running Shoes. If it's wet, a little more demanding walk or winter I wear Salomon X Ultra 3 Low GTX (Gortex). Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Don't need big clunky boots. For muddy, deeper stuff I have mid weight Muck boots.

    2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 new build

Nice lookin ride and Hello from a fellow Michigander! Got a 2015 Z71 DC myself that I'm thinking of lifting up the front end. Not leveled, but gonna leave a small amount of rake. Don't know if I leave it with a little rake if I can get away with 33's. But definitely go one size up.

Craftsman Storage Boxes..........just sharing! (At Lowes)

I have not bought any, but while grabbing some stuff at Lowes I was walking around as us guys do admiring all the stuff. They have several larger storage boxes, similar to the Rigid stuff but smaller than the Plano ones shown on here. The propaganda on the front does say "Weather Proof" (or...

What about an Overland Bound singles section?

That's a toughy! It does suck coming home to a empty house (especially that my 2 dogs of 13 yrs are gone), not having anyone to camp with (no friends to camp with). But it is sure nice not to have to check in with someone and being able to come and go as I please, when I please, buy whatever I...
