I love the LJs but here in Texas they are going for 20k and above. With the kiddo only being 2 years old I cant take out the back seat unless I am going on a solo trip.

Its a 4 inch lift. Has rubicon express parts and rough country parts. I am running 33x12.5 deegan 38 tires and 15 inch rims. Really happy with the set up will more then likely be getting 3.5 in springs soon though.

It does! I love your rig, I have been thinking hard about selling my jeep for something bigger but its a part of me I can' Honestly think I am going to build a trailer. Going to work on my fab skills! For now I am going to get a roof rack and continue to ground camp.

Wish we had more areas to boondock in Texas. Everything here is private land or stateparks. To many parties and riff raff in the state parks.

Here is my jeep tj. I am a new member from Fort Worth Texas. After seeing some videos about overlanding I am hooked trying to talk my wife into building up her commander but for now the TJ will be our adventure rig. Currently saving up for a gobi roof rack.

You need to get the right droop to the hammock, lay sideways for a flatter position. You will want an underquilt for warmth, sleeping bags will be flat under you and ruin any type of insulation. You get what you pay for but I would get a cheaper one just to try it out they have their weaknesses...

Anyone have a TJ that they overland with? Thinking about getting a smittybilt trailer and RTT. I would love to do a RTT on the jeep and drawers in the back but I will be traveling with my wife and kid on occasion so the limited space in the jeep will be a problem. Thanks for any input.

I will be doing pins August 19 and 20th. I will be ground camping with my wife and 2 year old. I will do some of the tips and let you know what I did/ what I should of done it will defiantly be an experience.

I have the non mesh version. I use it a lot with solo trips. Makes the sleeping pad a billion times more comfortable. Defiantly a solid buy.

They are bulky and expensive. I got a collapsible hammock stand on amazon was $60 I believe and folds down really nice. I use it for trips that might not have many trees.
