    Great post about a fascinating place, thanks for sharing! I still want to visit Frederiksoord. I've been to the associated place Veenhuizen a couple of times. I've even found some overlanding worthy roads in that area I would like to explore next time I go there.

    If had to guess the little bridge with the house is in the Netherlands, I would have failed! It looks so 'exotic' for the Netherlands, I wonder where it is. Nice photos, thanks for posting!

    Recently got a Volvo V90CC. Not a hardcore off roader, but that is not my expectation of the car either. 20 years ago I drove Defenders, G-Klasse wagons and Hagglund BV206 in the military and an adventure bike after that till 10 years ago, I really felt the need for overlanding!
