Last leg started today. I have to sew the no-see-um mesh windows on, then cut the fabric out and make some interior flaps for covers, then cut the door and install zippers. I have about 1 day of work left, have to be done by the weekend for a test flight before NWOR!!!

Wow, months go by and I have had no time to work on this, but today I kicked it into gear again and got some tasks checked off. Today I
- Installed 2 aluminum angle extrusions to limit the twist in the cantilever platform section.
- Installed the mounting hardware for the tent.
- Cut felt strips...
Just back from more trade shows and vacation with families so I got some time today to tinker with the flexing a bit. I added more nuts and bolts and some leveling plates for the center sag. It worked well but I still think it needs a bit more stabilizing on the extension. I am going to add some...
So, spent this Sunday in my shop drilling and fastening more bolts to stiffen it up a bit. It's better now and I am more confident in getting it road ready by May...

Jeez, have had zero time the last 2 months to work on this, but got going today. Drew out the pattern in Patternsmith and cut it on the Autometrix this AM. This is the 2nd cut, the first was off a bit. I tried sewing the zipper in but I screwed it up by stretching the interior panel too much. I...
@ChepoCDT Sorry, been buried with work and family stuff. I am going to get back to it this weekend. I just got more fabric in last week after I found the first spec'd out poorly in UV. The white (large X ripstop from Dimension Polyant) will be the main cabin. I have a 3 layer laminate GoreTex...
Attached the ladder. I popped the cap off the ladder, cut 1" off the existing ladder to remove the holes that were there for the cap, drilled 3"8 holes through both top tubes 1" from the new cut on the tube, stuck a 3" (pre-drilled 3/8" hole) 1" dowel rod inside the tube, and then bolted using a...
Good question - Sorry I forgot to post that. I am using the ladder as the support. I popped the caps of the ladder off tonight and started modifying the top tubes to attach to the frame. The thin wall of the tubing is sketchy, so I am going to insert a 1" wooden dowel rod inside to give some...
First, let me start by saying I owned a Jame Baroud hard shell tent for about 3 months. It was awesome, except, it was long and had to be mounted high over my truck cab and I did not want to have that as my travels for work require me to go under garages in downtown places. I started looking for...

The Skittle is awesome overall. After you get the hang of the center cooking area it becomes a really useful and easy to use cooking tool. We use it for all kinds of events. I have already had to replace my Century burner once as a piece of it just snapped off when I was attaching, but that...
Just installed my Tacoma short bed racks. Incredibly stout and well constructed. Install took about 25 minutes overall. I opted for tamper resistant screws for crossbars, but might get the star knobs too for easier access to tonneau cover. Really easy to add to this set up using 8020 even.
The...
