Gotta agree with the common idea that it depends on where you are and where your going.
I don't cary most of the stuff that other guys have mentioned(full-size shovel, chainsaw, radio, battery jumper, AAA card) but I mostly travel solo and have made it this far.
I'm a low budget preparer so...
Water crossings. Most other things can be overcome with patience and hard work, but a river crossing that is too deep is simply too deep and you pretty much gotta turn around. If you chance it on a deep crossing you are risking major vehicle damage or, possibly your life.

I just drove the trail last week in a stock T100. I was nervous about the water too. We made it across without issue, but I did walk it first to check the depth all the way across. It was about 32 inches at the deepest point.
