Our friends have an REI Kingdom 8 and love it. A little tender in high wind plus it's whale bodied with a central spine and four ribs/hoops. We liked it but opted for the Marmot Limestone 8P -- dome construction with fewer and beefier poles. It's been a base camp champ for a large crew...

Pelican or Hardigg med boxes do the work for me -- stackable, water/dust proof, wheeled, double as camp furniture. One con is they tend to be heavy.
Mt Baker (10,781') averages 659 inches a year and in the winter of 1998-99, the ski area had 1,140 inches of fresh snow, the most ever recorded in a single season in the world. We hit snow on the road in earnest at about 2000' elevation.

I'm a bit of a surplus hound and enjoy adapting mil gear to other purposes. I had a $10 ACU MOLLE vest lying around and naturally started looking for uses. So I suspect you'll either be pleased or horrified at the following result:

US Military makes a "derigging ladder" designed to move a vehicle out of a transport aircraft. A nylon grid ladder (1.75" webbing) spools around the tire (s) to move the rig. Messy to be sure esp in the mud but they are light weight.
