    Alaskan 95'

Thanks Darth. Shot on a canon rebel with a cheap fisheye lens. That’s an oil rig that’s drydocked down there named Hercules.

    Alaskan 95'

The first long trip this last weekend went well (Palmer south to Seward, Alaska). Playing around with gas mileage numbers/fuel types and I am finding that I am getting better gas mileage with premium fuel. Average speed was 70 mph over 200 miles, and I averaged 20 miles a gallon even with some...

Gen3 4Runner Tops Parts and Performance Picks

Welcome! Can’t help with everything but do have some input. The OB badge is your preference! You’ll see many different spots, really it’s wherever you like. I like to have things balanced, but that’s just me. If it goes on glass clean the area with some rubbing alcohol, on paint I would...

    Buying a Tundra...

Sorry to hear the deal fell through, buying vehicles can be a real hassle. Chalk it up to it not being meant to be. I would toss a vote in for a 98-02 4runner limited in that price range (locking rear diff, 3.4, Toyota... etc.). Let us know what happens.

Tire Suggestions for Toyota Tundra Crewmax

KO2 have proven themselves to me on Alaskan winter roads. Grabber At2 are equivalent in performance with a nice price tag. I’ll eventually go to duratracs when my Ko2’s wear out.

Do You Keep a Vehicle Journal?

I am with you on the hardcopies of service and mileage, but haven’t taken it as far as some with the spread sheets and electronic logging. I keep data logs/service papers for resale value, and personal reasons... a 3 ring on a rig shows pride of ownership, organization and responsibility — all...

    Alaskan 95'

Thanks darth - Deleted the cruise just to make some space basically, I’ve never had cruise before so it’s not something I’d miss, also was unsure how the 3.0 would handle load under hills. Thanks for the input on shocks.

    Alaskan 95'

Finally got around to getting some engine bay pictures, you can see how much room the egr and cruise delete netted me on the passenger side of the block, easier to change plugs there than the other side! Also seen is the knock sensor bypass, tapped into the intake manifold and grounded on the...

    Alaskan 95'

Took it out for a mild wheel on the river bed today, got some glamour shots. Also still working on the break-in process, she is using a touch of oil every fill-up, and mileage seems to be between 14-17 depending on how heavy on the throttle I am. Due for the 1000 mile oil change in about 3-4...
